Architects and designers have been recommending terrazzo for over a century now. Of course, the initial cost of installation is higher than other floor systems. In addition, it is a slip-resistant surface and can handle high levels of foot traffic. Terrazzo floor systems are also known for being microbial resistant, inhibiting the growth of fungus and bacteria.
